Melancholy enters my body in drops of wet autumn cold.

Once again, my feet carry me to the house of my childhood. Its roof has long since collapsed, its windows are broken, and it has sunk and tilted. The open door looks like a wound, and blackness slowly oozes out, drop by drop.

Yet, when I close my eyes, I see the shadows of my past life in the golden light of the moon.

What am I looking for in this forgotten place?

Being imprisoned for doing what they believed was the right thing for a long ass time but ultimately saving their world/universe in the end (not quite saving in pris’ case but like, they’re the reason the eye was found & the universe was reborn. the point still stands)

Anyways tho this got me wondering whether it’s worse to have been denied personhood & known you were to be imprisoned for the sake of saving your people all along, or to have lived a life & freely felt joy & been loved only for everyone to completely turn on you the instant you decide to act on your beliefs & never look back. Like there’s so many things that are so deeply wrong about both of their situations (which are kinda opposite to each other) (esp taking into account that Hollow’s downfall was ultimately their ability & desire to feel love.)

Also both of them thinking their sacrifices were pointless until the protagonist comes into the picture. Cause Hollow was able to hold off the infection long enough for Ghost to come home & destroy it, & again if Pris hadn’t interfered nobody would’ve ever made it to the eye & the universe would just be Gone probably
