Some softer bois! Descriptions under the cut!
曙光石 Eosphorite
Today's featured stone is... EOSPHORITE! Offering you protection while exploring previous lives, Eosphorite transports you to the core situation that sets up a karmic pattern de-energizing it at source, so that the effect no longer carries forward. It helps overcome long held feelings of anger or inferiority, replacing them with self-confident assertion. Pink Eosphorite is particularly helpful for opening and cleansing the Heart chakra so that joy is felt. Wardite and Eosphorite
Locality: Stoneman Camp, Rapid Creek, Yukon, Canada
A blushing mineral dawn Eosphorite is usually pink to orange and was named after the Greek words meaning dawn bearing (though it also translates as Lucifer, the spear of light or Evenstar) due to its delicate manganese induced hues, though duller brown material also exists. It forms as slender prisms, often grown together in masses, and sometimes growing in radiating clusters or spheres. Being a hydrated phosphate it forms in the presence of fluids, in this case granitic pegmatites, those last fluid rich magma remnants that concentrate those rarer elements that do not fit into the crystal structure of normal granitic minerals, often resulting in rare minerals. To create Eosphorite the original pegmatite phosphate minerals have to be altered by fluids after crystallisation. Higher quality transparent material has been faceted for collectors though its hardness of 5 on Mohs scale means that it is a bit fragile for jewellery use. It is found in Brazil (whence hails this stunning 3.2 x 2.5 x 1.6 cm on rose quartz, also associated with spheres of Roscherite, another complex mineral named after a German collector) , the USA, Germany and Australia among others.
