The problem of sloth is that 9s tend to not reach their full potential, but instead want to remain comfortable. As a 9, you're probably right about what you want - in the sense that you know how to be comfortable - but realistically you need a responsibility. You need something to pressure you to change and grow. You can't let yourself sit forever with only comfortable thoughts and feelings, or you'll lose touch with your place in the real, harsh world.

I don’t know why I even bother to care about r/enneagram because that community has turned into a bunch of know-it-all assholes without even knowing context to another Redditor’s life.

If Type 9 doesn’t fit a certain agenda, GUESS WHAT?!? That doesn’t make them not a 9! Not all Type 9s are the same!!

r/enneagram used to be so cool. It was a place where normal people could talk about being a simple 5w6 or plain Type 5 or even 5w6 Sp/So; and have real enneagram discussions to understand one another.

Now it’s full of raging assholes that think they know you better than you know yourself.

I tire of questioning my abilities working the Enneagram system. Another nice acquaintance on Reddit inspired me to believe in my myself and that I am right with my knowledge of the subject and to stop second guessing myself.

And anyway—— It all depends on what Enneagram theory works best for you!!! Like Beatrice Chesnut? GREAT. Hate RHETI? COOL! Prefer John Luckovich’s work over everyone else? AWESOME 👍🏼

I remember once reading a Redditor explain that they felt they were getting too close to another person, so much that they were developing feelings for this other person; and that affected the Redditor in a way that he felt strained, anguished, and reluctant…

I imagined it to be like an apartment neighbor having a crush on another neighbor. They would be holding their back against their front door, remaining out of sight of the neighbor… clutching onto their heart.

I am starting to feel this way about my coworker, the person I share cubicle space with at work. My new good friend. A Type 7 (Enthusiast).

I’m scared to get close to her. With my tendencies for my own peace through routines and comfort (Self-Preservation dominant), I can get quite cranky when other’s impose on me and my time.

Type 7s are fun and occasionally kinda wild. I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep up. 😂

She told me herself that she wanted the bridge/connection between us to grow and remain solid. She really enjoys me, my company, and my character.
