#journal update

broke up with my boyfriend, finding my true self again. going to be a bridesmaid in november to my best friend, my older cousin - the sister i never had. rekindled my stationary obsession and still obsessed with my dog.

I must make this entry quickly. Jayce has requested my attendance at a council meeting tonight. I asked him about it, but he insisted on sparing me any details, aside from the fact that my presence was of "utmost importance" to him. Whatever that means.

I'll go, if only to appease his ceaseless begging. However, I don't know that I'll be able to stomach being in that council room ever again. Even as a shrouded side-kick, I feel the consequences of my actions have forever barred me from the honor of sitting at that table. The other council members have committed far more heinous crimes, but at least I have the sense to acknowledge them.

I wanted to take a moment to write a little something here today.

My health has deteriorated a lot over the past few months. Losing my Mother unexpectedly, then my illnesses flare constantly from the daily stresses of life and then trying to completely rebuild your life after an unexpected tragedy... it's a lot for the average person to take in, let alone someone who is terminally ill.

I am doing by best to fight through everything. The physical pain, the emotional pain, the mental strain. I am not exactly sure how I will continue to do it but I am trying.

I really want to get back into my artwork and streaming but when you constantly feel like your body is attacking itself, you never have the energy to do anything but lay down in bed, when you are unable to even eat or drink because your body feels so awful. It's tough.

Prayers are welcome and much needed!

As this is the last day of January and I am having my usual Sunday fanfiction reading fest, I thought I’d show you what my journal looks like, after a little tweaking.  

First, a new entry page.  I much prefer this as the vibe of all these are rather retro looking in the brownish finish.  Plus, cats & books & libraries are pretty much me in a nutshell.

January has a cool blues and winter theme.  Nothing major.  I did the whole “days reading” option with the boxes colored in.  Lines connect days that cover the book I am reading as I no longer read more than one book at a time.  I also pasted the book covers that I completed in January, a total of six.  There is a notation of genre and rating beneath.  As you can see, weekends are more likely than not free days.  I do my cleaning, both house & clothes, on those days, so I tend to limit my reading to fanfiction when I’m taking a rest or folding.

Here are the rest of January’s reads, although with a page of my review.  I still like the idea of the reviews being kept, but they will be divided by the month the book was finished in to keep it neater.  I will be looking through my photographs, post cards and online art to fill in the large blank space sometime this week.

Now the boxes were nice and all, but I found them rather boring.  I’m a crap artist, but I can do a mean doodle or two, so I thought I’d change things up.  After finding a few really cool space art on Google Images, I thought February would be a good Space theme and opted for rocket ships for the days of the month.  This will be colored in if I read on those days, per usual.  

The two book covers are books that I know will be read during February.  I’m about 50% into The Fated Sky and will be reading Alanna: The First Adventure due to a February 19th live stream readalong with Beautifully Bookish Bethany on Booktube.

Instead of the rating stickers, I went with planets to color in.  The quote was already there as it was covering up a blotch caused by my cat sneezing.  *sigh*  He was sitting just to the side of me and turned his head just at the right moment.

I’m going to try and continue the doodles for the various months, depending on the themes.  For instance, May will be cats and the days will be toy mice.  I think July will be suns, while October will be pumpkins (or possibly spiders, I’m still working on that).  Ditto with December.  I’m torn between Christmas trees or nicely round ornaments.  Time will tell.  I need to work on my leaf doodles before September!
