There’s proof that some people genuinely experience plurality or multiple identities without identifying with trauma-based disorders like DID. Researchers have documented these experiences in interviews and studies, and many plural people describe their systems as real, stable, and not caused by trauma.
But there is not solid scientific proof yet that “endogenic plurality” is a fully proven medical condition or separate diagnosis. Most current evidence is based on self-reports and community research, not brain scans or large clinical studies.
So basically: people’s experiences are real, but science still doesn’t fully understand why they happen.
blessing of being plural : if you can't handle something someone else might front and be better at it
curse of being plural : if you can't handle something someone else might front and be even worse at it
no because if you had to create a system in order to survive i feel like youre basically doing the same as traumagenic systems
even if it wasnt to survive a traumatic situation your system still aids you with day to day tasks no matter how small and that still counts as survival
i really cant understand why endogenic systems are so frowned upon
see, the thing is, i understand anti-endos/anti-willos. i've felt that pang of "that's not fair! i had to go through hell for this! i was forced into it! it's not fair that you can choose! it's not fair that you got it naturally!"
but, the thing is? i'm mature. so i moved on. feelings are normal. jealousy is normal. that feeling of "this isn't fair" is normal. but you have to learn to deal with it. you have to acknowledge that the feeling is real and valid, but it's also not one you can allow to stay.
because it's not fair to them. those are real people, endogenic and willogenic systems. those are people with emotions and feelings. you have no idea what their life is like. you cannot allow your upset to hurt them.
maybe it isn't fair. but that doesn't matter. don't repeat the cycle. don't let your trauma turn you into a cruel person.

friendly reminder that you dont have to explain your plurality to anybody.
"what's your origin?" "are you disordered?" "are you diagnosed?" "what's your headcount?" "do you have fictives?" "do you have roles?"
just a few examples of questions you *don't have to answer* if you dont want to!
-host (they/he) we are a minor.
I can't be the only one who thinks endo looks delicious?? This is my Operator and Drifter giving into temptation.
Terrible idea to eat it as it is probably what stores the rancid memories of the Orokin...but why does it look like forerro rocher! (My comparison under the cut)
