I was disappointed that I missed the wild game but I just found out our goalie threw up on the ice?!? Now I’m sooo glad I didn’t watch also I can not even count the amount of times I’ve wondered if that happens so I guess I know now. I hope gus feels better tho
wish there were v*mit warnings somewhere online for movies cuz Nosferatu had such violent and triggering ones,,,, like why they gotta make it so so horrible
dear emetophobes: (or ppl who are sick on their periods):
mints
ginger / ginger ale
the smell of rubbing alcohol (if u dont have that, u can smell it thru hand sanitizers and some perfumes)
stretching your stomach muscles?? (idk if this is universal but it helps me)
all those prevent nausea. most efficiently is the rubbing alcohol. ur welcome :)
My emetophobia has been real bad since a severe panic attack that made me relapse around six months ago and it's crazy how non-emetophobes or people who don't struggle with severe anxiety don't get how awful it is. Like they will comment things like how "this fear is quite common" or "of course, it's unpleasant" but it's not just that. I talked with a fellow emetophobe online yesterday and here's a non-exhaustive list of places and things that can be a source of trigger for an emetophobe:
- airports
- primary schools/things that involve younger kids
- amusement parks
- parties
- hospitals/doctor's
- bars
- the car
- any kind of traveling
- being in a foreign country
Yeah, it's rough. And it follows you everywhere. There is no place where you feel 100% safe, ever. So let's be serious about it.
