Question for Ellen: What student are you at school? What type/kind of reputation do you have? How do you find sophomore/school?
ELLEN: I’d say I have a pretty solid reputation. I’m the responsible one. Honors classes, extracurriculars, student council, community service—you name it, I’m probably involved. I get labeled as the “overachiever” or “perfect student” sometimes, which, yeah, gets exhausting. Like, sorry for being competent.
I try to be nice to people, I do—but sometimes I feel like everyone either wants something from me or they're kids who are just...weird. If people are like that, I just end up trying to avoid them as much as possible.
Sophomore year’s been… intense. The grades here matter now, so the pressure’s higher, the expectations are bigger, and don’t even get me started on group projects. I'd rather do individual work, because I could get more done during then. Don't get me wrong though, I love learning. I hate chaos. I survive on to-do lists and iced coffee. And honestly? I just want to get into a good college, keep my GPA intact, and maybe occasionally live a little without being called “uptight.” Is that too much to ask?
