Aziraphale: Well, we were driving at those terribly fast speeds Crowley does and there was a deer in the road that he didn’t notice. So I yelled, “Crowley, deer!” And would you like to tell kind Anathema here what your response was?

watching Thomas Sanders videos on repeat at 1 AM while eating pizza because he makes you feel happy and accepted and pizza is awesome.

When Connor and Evan met, their fates would forever be intertwined. 

Connor, after facing Evan in the computer lab, runs out of the school to the park. He pulls out a pill bottle from his bag and goes through with the plan he’s had since he woke.

Everything goes dark.

His eyes flutter open as soon as he hears an alarm. He assumes he would be in a hospital or something. Connor never expected to be floating over Evan Hansen as he turns off his alarm for school.

Screaming ensues. (Thankfully, Heidi had an early shift.)

There is an awkward and uncomfortable explanation from Connor as to how he is here. (At first, Evan thinks it has something to do with his medication. “Is it expired?” “Did I have too much by accident?”) 

He believes Connor when, at school, he is called to the office and is spoken to by the Murphy’s about his ‘suicide note’.

Connor makes him head to the dinner with his family. ‘For Forever’ happens while Connor whispers things the whole time: “this would never happen”, what is it with trees?”, “this sounds more like a cheesy date”, “okay, how are they believing this?!” Evan is extremely uncomfortable.

After all the lies that Evan spewed at dinner, Connor decides to tell Evan more about himself when he gets home so things are more believable. (”How do I always get into the strangest situations!?” “Well, time to make it strangely real.”)

The fake e-mails include true things, more of what Connor would say, and way more weird jokes thanks to the boy’s actual input for this lie they have created. (He really cares. He wants his family to finally know who he is, even if they didn’t bother to know when he was alive.)

Jared is confused as to where Evan is getting all this material and why he refuses to let him edit it. (Con and Ev actually do some of the e-mails together in Evan’s room based on actual conversations these new friends have had.)

‘If I Could Tell Her’ has what Connor really wanted to say! The kiss was not expected and kinda freaks him out.

Connor came up with The Connor Project. He doesn’t want him or Evan to ‘Disappear.’

During Evan’s speech in ‘You Will Be Found’, Connor is there advising him to calm down, to breathe, and that he is there for him. (Evan says his true thoughts of Connor, of how he is a true friend to him.)

Connor’s heart hurts during ‘To Break In A Glove’. “If my dad secretly cared for him so much, why’d he stop trying? Why did he say I only did this for attention?!”

Evan and Zoe’s relatinship is respected by Connor, and he gives them space during ‘Only Us’. He begins leaving once he hears Zoe say ‘She doesn’t want more reminders of all thats been broken.’

He feels he broke her. It’s his fault. Connor stays back for a bit.

Until, ‘Good For You’. This is terrifying for Evan and his spirit friend. Both of them caught up in having lives that are better for them, they hurt those who helped them get there. 

‘For Forever Reprise’ happens, as well. (”Did you fall, or did you let go?” was not said. They’re friends and they are the only one the latter can depend on. This would hurt the friendship. It’s a suggestion Connor makes on how to tell the ‘not-so truth’. “Change the story of how you broke your arm! Say how it really happened.” “That would make things worse…” “..Why?” The conversation gets painfully sad.)

They both know that the Murphy’s need to know. 

It is agreed to tell them that Evan lied about everything. Saying thar Connor is a spirit who is Evan’s friend and told him all these things and is just passing the message? Yeah, no. (”I wish we could just leave it this way so they wouldn’t think all they know about me now is lies… but we can’t keep doing this. Letting them get threatened by people online, and the fighting and all the fake creations are me. Me just wanting them to understand who I am. Who I was.”)

‘Words Fail’ hurts. 

Connor is angry at his family. Wishes they could know Evan like he does, know that what he said was true.  When his panic attack starts, Connor can’t help. It’s like he can’t be seen. Hearing all Evan is saying, he decides to give the boy the space he needs to calm and to figure things out for himself. (He returns to Evan up in his room after ‘So Big / So Small’. Evan is glad Connor gave him time.)

It has now been a year since The Connor Project.  The boys still speak, are still friends. 

They will forever be connected. 

During ‘Finale’, Connor finally gains full closure and peace. Zoe and his parents are okay, the orchard and The Connor Project has helped others, Evan is coping, smiling. So is Connor.

Everything is okay. 

He was found.

“All I see is sky for forever.”
