Treat yourself to some homemade chocolate mousse made with eggs. It's rich and creamy. It's a great dessert for any event.
Ingredients: 4 eggs. 200g dark chocolate. 1/4 cup sugar. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/4 cup heavy cream. Pinch of salt.
Instructions: Separate egg yolks from whites into two bowls. Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave, and let it cool slightly. In the bowl with egg yolks, add sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Gradually whisk the melted chocolate into the egg yolk mixture until well combined. In a separate bowl, whip the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the chocolate mixture until fully incorporated. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until it reaches a soft peak consistency. Fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until smooth and creamy. Divide the mousse into serving glasses or bowls. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set. Serve chilled, garnished with grated chocolate or fresh berries.
