WS!Steve AU. of course Bucky and Sam still have that slightly antagonistic and passive-aggressive relationship going, but they are weirdly good friends. who rib on each other and refuse to move up a seat for each other, but fuck with one and the other will fuck you up. Sam has not forgiven him for lapping him three times.and then the Winter Soldier shows up, and things go down p much the same, and Sam meets Steve Rogers the former Captain America and former Winter Soldier entirely by coincidence in the Smithsonian - maybe he was looking at planes and saw this weirdly familiar guy trying to duck out and went to talk with him.either way, they establish a rapport pretty quickly. Sam is affronted that Steve has never heard Marvin Gaye, something for which Steve apologizes for bc he's been a bit busy - and Sam kind of laughs, a little, bc apparently Barnes was RIGHT about Steve's sense of humor. kind of.they listen to a lot of music - they don't meet up regularly, and not always in the same place, one time Sam met him while off in TOKYO, why Tokyo, and Steve p much demanded he hand over the Stevie Wonder album STAT. but like, they fall in love bc MUSIC, or something.(in the background, Bucky runs into T'Challa and they hit it right off.)
