Very tense performances of the Leithian in Eregion, featuring:
Celebrimbor discreetly leaving the audience for the duration of the Nargothrond Incident(s)
Galadriel not-so-discreetly leaving the audience for Finrod's death
Annatar leaving for LĂșthien's arrival in Tol-in-Gaurhoth
"...and EĂ€rendil took her to his bosom; but in the morning with marvelling eyes he beheld his wife in her own form beside him with her hair upon his face, and she slept."
Star-twins, first edition

The name [Ingoldo] spread from his kin to many others who held him in honour, especially to Men (the Atani) of whom he was the greatest friend among the Eldar. Thus later it became frequent as a given name in Numenor, and continued to be so in Gondor, though reduced in the Common Speech to Ingold. One such Ingold appears in The Lord of the Rings as the commander of the guard of the North Gate into the Pelennor of Gondor.
~the Shibboleth, apparently
Okay, but that's just adorable. like you can agree right? the one name we're explicitly told is reused a lot rather than just seeing it reoccur in family trees and it's Finrod's afyfugihijjgxss. Finrod :)
Does he even need a caption? Finrod Felagund, blorbo supreme.
...I'm not entirely satisfied with him but it'll have to do. Click for quality, et cetera.
The biggest hurdle with this theory might be that they're never really referred to as elven princes, but do we know that the mithril mailshirt wasn't actually commissioned for elladan or elrohir? whose father and uncle survived a massacre at six, whose grandfather did so at seven (in a mailshirt!) and whose great-uncles didn't at eight?
All I'm saying is I understand if elrond was a little overanxious for three years or so.
