Eddie Deezen is an American actor who is best known for playing Eugene Felsnic, the school nerd in the film Grease (1978). He has also appeared in Zapped! (1982), Follow that Bird Sesame Street (1985), Critters 2 (1988), Punky Brewster (1984) and Scooby-Doo in Arabian Nights (1994).
Deezen was born in Cumberland, Maryland, US into a Jewish family. At school he was the class clown and aspired to become a comedian. He moved to Hollywood and after working as a stand-up comedian he turned to comedy on screen.
Today, Deezen gets involved with trivia online, he is a big fan of The Beatles and pop trivia as well as baseball, American history and comedy performers.
Even though he was raised Jewish, he became a Scientologist after being introduced to it by John Travolta. He left Scientology around 2012 and stated he was a Catholic. In 2020, he underwent open heart surgery and ended up getting pneumonia and recovered. He was married in 1984 but the couple have since divorced.
In 2021, a young waitress accused him of stalking her at work and writing Facebook posts about her. You can see these Facebook posts on Google Images - he admitted that he enjoyed looking at her and instead of apologizing for his behaviour; he attempted to justify it. He was arrested for refusing to leave a restaurant after staff asked him to leave and he refused. He started throwing plates, bowls and food at the police when they arrived.
Deezen struggled with a mental disorder and had to undergo treatment and was released in 2023. He now lives with his former manager and his ex-managers wife, who are his guardians. In his spare time he enjoys making podcasts, trivia and videos.
