I always shipped these two because I thought they understood each other better than anyone else. Lala loved Dexter, but she didn’t understand him, and that’s ultimately what doomed their relationship. And yes, Dexter isn’t a superhero, and Blossom isn’t a tortured genius with a giant lab, but they both have huge egos and are messed up in their own ways. Not only that, but I definitely think Blossom is probably the only person in the world willing to call him out on his self-centeredness, and vice versa. They are somehow so similar, but opposites at the same time.
And I think that’s beautiful… the world might not understand them, but they’ll have each other…
Also, the childhood friends-to-lovers trope… come on, guys, come on! You are not utilizing this trope enough!
Ok! So I made this little comic because I wanted to redraw a doodle I made way, way, way back when I first started drawing fan art for classic cartoon shows, and I gotta say, it turned out pretty well. I’m trying to figure out my background style. I really want to make it very stylized and flat, kind of like the original PPG, with a little bit of PSG style mixed into it. But yeah, I definitely think that’s something I’ll have to work on. Anyway, I made two drawings. Bonus pictures are the doodles of them while they’re still smol~ 💖

Yeah, sorry if it’s a little messy. I’m trying to get my groove back after taking a break for so long. But yeah, I made this little comic! It’s supposed to be a reference to that one scene in the Harley Quinn comics. If you know, you know… 😏
Also, I like to think this comic takes place when they’re both in university and have a little place together. Nothing too fancy…just a cute little apartment where everything is pink and heart-shaped because Blossom decorated everything. Heheh. 🎀🩷

Yeah… I tried out a new coloring technique! I finally figured out how to make watercolor-like textures, so I decided to draw Dexter and Blossom as Emma and Aleksander from Veil.
You have Blossom looking stunning as usual… and then you have Dexter and his Russian-looking ass. 💀 (I know he’s not actually Russian, but his creator is, and that’s where his accent came from. It doesn’t really make sense unless you’ve looked into the show’s production, but I digress.)
I think these two are adorable, and I’m pretty sure this is exactly how Blossom and Dexter would act if they were dating. Actually, I don’t even think it’s ever made clear whether Emma and Aleksander are officially dating since their relationship is never labeled, but I like to think they’re both ace. 🖤🩶🤍💜
