📝 a line or paragraph i’m really happy with

i’m so bad at remembering my own writing but i (somewhat obviously) like this bit from ‘sorrow waited’ (i know it’s more than a paragraph shhh):

       “What’s it like?” he asks because he can’t quite help himself. “Dying and coming back again.”

        The night is alive around them, frogs and crickets singing up along the lake. He’s been trying to be better, trying to learn to lay his anger down for jiejie, for Jin Ling, for himself. His tone still comes out too sharp.

        Leaning back on his elbow, Wei Wuxian doesn’t answer immediately but takes another drink. Jiang Cheng doesn’t think he’s drunk but they’ve both had enough wine that he probably should be. For himself, the pleasant warmth is starting to dissipate into something heavy and gnawing deep in his belly. At last, Wei Wuxian rests his arm against his knee and tilts his gaze up toward the dark sky.

        “Easier the second time,” he says

23. Unpopular character you love? 

I don’t know if he’s ‘unpopular’ but Yin Yu is my favourite side character and I always feel like he doesn’t get that much recognition!! i’m just love him so much he deserves the world and god the parallels between him and xie lian.......fuck me up

i had nvidia on my old laptop and tbh i had quite a bit of trouble with it… radeon’s only downside is that it’s constantly updating, but that’s technically a good thing.

General 1. If you had to join a sect, which would you join?

Lan Clan. I already have the sleep schedule of a Lan, might as well go full in. Plus, Cloud Recesses is like a dream, I’m already someone who likes peace and quiet, and I really don’t mind all the rules that much, especially when you see Jingyi still being... Like That despite them.

General 3. Manhua, donghua, novel, live-action, or audio drama?

I haven’t read the novel and haven’t listened to the audio drama (just some scenes on youtube which were honestly AMAZING) and yet this is still hard!! I’m gonna go with the live-action for somehow enhancing the emotions I felt watching the donghua, but the donghua comes REAL CLOSE. (also the manhua’s really great)

Ships 3. Other ships you like?

I have... so many.... (apologies, I don’t know all the actual ships names yet so I’ll just say the character names) 

I ship, passively or not: Nie Huaisang/Jiang Cheng, Jiang Yanli/Wen Qing, Jiang Cheng/Lan Xichen, Jin Guangyao/Lan Xichen, Nie Mingjue/Lan Xichen.

The OTP among them would be Xiao Xingchen/Song Lan aka the reason I cry myself to sleep at night. they Hurt me I love them so much. 

Story 3. You can bring one character back to life, but you must pick someone else to die in their place. Would you do it? How would this affect the story?

I would resurrect Yanli in a heartbeat. She would get to raise her son, bond with lwj over wwx’s death, help ease jc’s anger over what happened but also grieve with him, and we would get the most beautiful and emotional reunion when wwx learns that his sister is not dead anymore. (yes there would still be a lot of guilt on wwx’s part to deal with still but hey! she’s alive!)

Then, I guess Sect Leader Yao can die, no one will even notice he’s gone.
