A genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist? Looks like Robert Downey Jr. is all. Not only he is a real billionaire, an A-list Hollywood Star, but also a real super hero in his own life. âIâm not a hero type.â Said one of the famous characters RDJ gave a life to, Tony Stark. Who knows that he isnât a real hero? Well, you could say that he is a real hero to many people.
April 4th, 1965. Robert Downey Jr. was born in Greenwich Village, New York City. He began acting as a young child. His first appearances was in âPoundâ 1970. At the age of 10, RDJ and his family moved to London after moved frequently due to his father, Robert Downey Sr.âs work. He was living in New York, California, Woodstock, Connecticut, and Paris. He attended the Perry House School in Chelsea and studied classic ballet.
In 1977, his parents divorced. Young Downey Jr. moved to New York with his mother and his whilst sister, Allyson, moved with their father to California. A few years later, RDJ attended the Santa Monica High School and immediately joined the school theatre club. He had casted for several school movies and shows. RDJ played a bit part in one of his fatherâs movie âUp the academyâ at the age of 15.
With his fatherâs permission, Robert Downey Jr. dropped out of high school to become a professional actor. He moved to New York with his sister and he was trying to get his career started. He found himself cast mainly high school romantic comedies and he decided to join the one of most popular TV series âSaturday Night liveâ for one season.
Robert Downey Jr. had been introducing drugs by his father since he was age of 8. As we know, RDJ had been having problem with drugs and had been sent to a rehab center for so many times. He won The BAFTA and Academy Award. And Now, He won another for the comedy âTropic Thunderâ with Ben Stiller and Jack Black for the Best Supporting Actor. Robert Downey Jr. has been recognized a lot with another famous hero character from Marvel Universe, Tony Stark, on âIron Man in 2008, the movie got the world wide box office and RDJ ranked No.60 in Times Magazineâs 100 most influential people in the world. In the following years RDJ earned a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture â comedy or Musical in January of 2010 for âSherlock Holmesâ with Jude Law as Dr. John Watson his assistant. And then he returned to one of the most successful movie in the early summer of 2010 for âIron Man 2â In the same year he was also in the movie âDue dateâ for a leading role with Zach Galifianakis. In 2011 he was back for the role of a genius consulting detective âSherlock Holmes 2: A game of Shadowsâ. May, 2012. Tony Stark has returned and assembled with other super heroes on âThe Avengersâ, with A Super Soldier, Captain America (Chris Evans). The Demi God, Thor (Chris Hemsworth). The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), a couple of master assassins, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black widow (Scarlett Johanson). Three agents of the SHEILD, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), and Phill Coulson (Clark-Greg). Last but not least, the villain god of mischief, Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Their first child, Exton Elias Downey was born on February 7, 2012.

He was a bit upset, but RDJ spent his last money called a friend of his father and asked her for a job. Mr. Downey Jr. believes that âYou canât wait there for helps forever all you got is yourselfâ He said on the interview âI once had a billion money and got nothing living down a street. I could buy all the collection of cars I want, like others famous people do. But I chose not to. I think itâs ridiculousâ
