Batman, 21. part of canon you think is overhyped
Robin Year One. It really falls into the worst pitfalls of a lot of post-DitF Robin stories: 1, It assumes that Bruce has always been the way he was after Jason's death, which really flattens his character and does him a huge disservice. And 2, it leans very hard into the ultra violent gritty Robin stories, which are fine when Robin is in high school, but when Robin is a 12 year old just starting out, having him getting beaten almost to death for an emotional callback to a story that, in universe, hasn't happened yet.... it feels cheap and in Robin Year One especially, it really starts to break my suspension of disbelief that Bruce isn't being wildly irresponsible by letting Robin exist.
Also, I don't like the idea of Harvey already being Two Face when Dick starts as Robin. That makes no sense and it distracts me.
