Minerva and duck.... what are your opinions...
i love them both dearly!!!! i was NOT expecting it when i listened to amnesty the first time and initially didnt like it very much ): but it has grown on me! I LOVE BIG WOMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Minerva is a rock in his river. She has her own ideas about what constitutes a fulfilling life, and they involve an awful lot of slaying and smiting. Duck’s ideal level of slaying and smiting is none, thanks. That’d be the end of it if he had his way. It was, for the longest time. And then a gate opened, and Kepler started looking more like Sunnydale, and now here they are again.
ZINE FIC‼️🌲 so excited to share this one. my ducknerva magnum opus. i hope you love them as much as i do (and don't forget to check out the rest of the lamplighter to see even more awesome fic & art <3)
With the final episode of my relisten to Amnesty, I thought I would take the opportunity to remind everyone of this.

thinking about how duck and minerva are SO in sync they're SO attuned to each other that when duck wakes up after that vision he has in sylvain in ep 35 and all he says is "we're out of time" minerva instantly knows what he means. there's no questions and no hesitations, she just knows, and she takes him absolutely at his word because she trusts him, trusts that he can correctly assess danger and figure out the best way to stop it. not the best way according to a former war councilor, but the best way according to a compassionate forest ranger from small town west virginia. when duck wakes up, all he needs to say is "we're out of time," and he doesn't even need to be more specific than that, because he knows with that one line, minerva will understand and leap into action without hesitating.
there is just SO MUCH TRUST between these two they understand each other on a level that most people never attain and we get to see them forge that bond in such an organic way throughout amnesty but that specific moment, when they communicate perfectly with four words, is maybe the number one example for me of the strength and depth of that relationship
God Duck and Minerva is just so. It's like coming out of the treeline and seeing all the stars above you, all the colors that you can't see outside of the Monongahela, and how it makes you feel so small, and all the great old trees reaching out to touch them, and everything is so much more ancient than you, and the stars that died eons ago are reaching across time and space for you to see them. The crisp wind through the trees as you feel that only gravity is keeping you from the cold expanse of space. Loving like the earth loves the sun, loves the sky. Loving like the stars love the witnesses that look up in awe from the earth.
