Ya'll, I can't recommend "DxS did actually develop in canon" by dreamwraith more. The level of analysis they put in for a ship they don't even follow is amazing! You can find it on tumblr if you search Amethyst Ocean. Just keep scrolling down & you'll find it eventually. It shouldn't take overly long to find it.
Like, there's stuff they brought up that I never even realized myself despite being an Amethyst Ocean shipper!

Discomforted by the revelation, Phantom rolls in the air until he’s facing upwards. He can’t really look at the human, and the stillness after Danny’s admission proves that the artist hasn’t removed the hands covering his face.

I actually don't read a lot of pitch pearl. "The Suave and the Awkward" is one of the exceptions for me. Like it's a good story whether you like pitch pearl or not.
But you might check out Dream Trance's other stories, because she writes a lot of pitch pearl. I would especially recommend checking out her one-shot collection, "Pitching Pearls".
You might also browse through the Pitch Pearl Community page on FFN. It has 79 stories collected there.
