I just realized that it makes no sense that Booth is always confused by the conversion rate between meters and yards or feet. He was a sharpshooter for the military so he definitely would’ve been familiar with using meters to measure.
The only explanation could be that he pretends to be confused and not know because of that thing Sweets says he does where he acts stupider than he is.

I was honestly surprised by how well they handled this episode. Booth, being shown to be uncomfortable with the idea, but actually making an effort to be respectful. Brennan, glaring at whoever called Patricia a man, clearly uneasy with Patricia's wife's blatant transphobia. Patricia's lover making sure to state no matter how she was born, she was a real woman. Her son... UGHHH I kinda wanna cry. Also a HUGE shout-out to dr. Sweets for correcting Booth and using the term transgender (most of the time but the show's pretty old so its ok ig). My boy does not disappoint.
our new professor in my online master’s degree is basically dr. lance sweets 🤣🙈 he’s our age (tho some ppl are older), and he even wears a fricking suit 😂😂😂
