As a child I never appreciated Monkey Fist enough for I don't really like monkeys. However, he's one of the most focussed and driven villains.
I'd place him maybe second after Gemini in terms of intimidation/determination.
Despite the wacky premise of having monkey ninja henchmen, he's actually a fearful foe who is willing to sacrifice his entire being for his goals and that's, in a deranged way, admirable.
Tom Kane's loss is sad, but thankfully we still have him in some way in our childhood memories. 🫂💖
Had a dream last night that involved me being married to Monkey Fist. Even though I headcanon him being Homoromantic Asexual and like… very much not interested in relationships (to the point he kinda drags along Duff Killigan).
Part of me is wondering now if I should make him a lover.

RIP Tom Kane
Who voiced my second favorite villain ever: Monkey Fist
So yesterday I learned the sad news that voice actor Tom Kane had passed away.
He had to retire in late 2020 due to a stroke, which I was very sad to hear at the time because that was when I was revisiting KIM POSSIBLE & became fixated on his character Monkey Fist. Kane was so wonderfully over-the-top as a villain but also gave him a good sense of dry snark and fussiness that his portrayal was at least HALF the reason I became so enamored with the character.
It inspired me to write my longest completed fic "It Happened One Heist," and created a small devious but loving family between Monkey Fist, his partner-in-crime/wife Maggie the Bat and their daughter Molly.
Goodbye, Tom.
Thank you for all the laughs, the heart and the memories.
