Audi A3 in today for DPF clean. Measuring 11psi back pressure! No data coming from pressure sensor. This Audi A4 had been brought in for poor running. The vehicle had covered 171000 miles and had several error codes stored for Glowplugs, dpf sensor, dpf back pressure and ash accumulation. After a quick visual examination we found a split pipe from dpf to sensor (we replaced this)and two failed glowplugs (changed) after we carried out these repairs there was only error codes for ash accumulation & back pressure. Due to the mileage we knew the ash accumulation would be correct so we removed it, filled with our stage 1 Carbon Clean solution that dissolves soot & ash before putting it on our Carbon Clean flash cleaner... this passes water & compressed air safely through the dpf removing ALL ash & soot. Truck DPF clean? No problem👍 This truck was suffering from ash accumulation causing a restriction in exhaust flow, the owner had been told it needed a replacement at a cost of over £4K! The company it belongs to have there own workshop so took it off themselves and brought it to us... We had this Ford Transit Custom in today from @theopenplanbuildingco for a dpf clean and diagnostics. The van was in limp mode continually due to the dpf being blocked... initial diagnostics flagged up an implausible back pressure reading of 606000inhg which equates to 297639psi!!! We were called out to have a look at Scarlett’s #nissan #qashqai that had gone into #limp mode & had the #dpf light illuminated on the night she was selling it! We carried out our extensive diagnostics to find the cause of the blockage and to ensure no underlying faults. After checking everything we found that the vehicle had only ever been used for short journeys and had never completed a successful regen! It had accumulated 80grams of soot which was causing the reduced exhaust flow. We managed to access the BCM and tell it to carry out a static regen... this reduced the soot level down to 10grams which extinguished the dpf light and come out of limp mode.
