A couple of jobs from yesterday👍 Two calls first thing in the morning to a local supermarket in Chester within an hour of each other!!! A Renault Captur followed by a Renault Scenic… both had petrol in instead of diesel! Then over to the BP at Deeside for a Vauxhall Insignia with 5 litres of adblue in the fuel tank! Thankfully he realised so didn’t start the engine👍 then down to Llandudno Junction to an Audi A3 with 10 litres of adblue in the fuel tank… unfortunately the engine was running when it was poured in and consequently had cut out😔 after draining the fuel tank and fuel lines we opened up the fuel filter housing (adblue had already started congealing in the filter), we drained it & dried it off before refitting and filling with fresh diesel, once completed we draw the fuel through the return fuel lines ensuring all adblue is removed. Out working along with @rcrrescue at Fettlers Wharf Marina, Ormskirk on this Narrowboat. Adblue in this Volkswagen Golf🤦‍♂️ The owner asked at the local fuel station if they sold anything to reduce the emissions…. He was told to add adblue to his tank!!!! 2 litres in and driven about 100 yards before it cut out! We drained the fuel tank before tackling the engine & fuel filter… as you can see from the filter it’s a right mess! It was completely dried out and fresh fuel added before starting the engine. Once running it was left ticking over for a few minutes whilst the fuel circulated👍 Adblue!
