#double dating

Misty couldn't believe the situation she was in.

Ash couldn't either.

They both knew that Clemont liked Serena. So they decided to set up a date for the two. However, Clemont had nervously asked them to accompany him on his date, making it a double date.

The tree adults, Ash aged 20, Misty aged 20, Clemont aged 18 and Serena aged 19 including Pikachu, were all sitting in a cafe. Ash wore a black t-shirt with a red jacket, Misty wore a white t-shirt with a blue jacket and shorts, Serena wore a pink summer dress and Clemont wore a blue t-shirt with a black jacket .

Clemont barely looked at Serena and Serena held Misty's arm as if her live depended on it.

"So..." Misty looked at each of them. "What should we do today? We can go to sea world, the fair, the market, take a walk, sea world..."

"You said sea world twice, Mist." Ash said.

"Oh, shut it, brat." Misty stuck her tongue out at him and Ash rolled his eyes. She quickly smiled again at the others and said: "Anyway, what do you guys want to do?"

"Sea world sounds nice." Serena said. "I heard that they have a lot of water-pokemon over there and..."

"Then sea world it is!" Misty jumped with excitement.

And so they went to sea world.

While Misty was gawking at some water-pokemon from behind a glass, Ash noticed how awkward Clemont and Serena were. Clemont was trying to crack a joke, but Serena excused herself and walked away from him to look at a few Gyarados. Clemont's shoulder slumped down and Ash saw that he felt defeated.

He knew he had to do something about this.

Ash walked over to Misty who was still staring at the Pokemon.

"Misty?"

"Pikachupi?" Pikachu asked too.

Misty didn't listen to them. Ash sighed. He pulled a little her arm and she jolted out of her daze.

"W-what?" Misty said.

"Clemont and Serena aren't hitting it off." Ash said.

Misty noticed the distant two. She folded her arms and tapped with her finger against her upper-arm.

"You're right. We need to get those two together or this all would've been for nothing. Maybe we need to put those two in a romantic situation."

"What do you mean?" Ash asked.

"Well, sea world is the most amazing place in the world and..." Misty sighed as a shiny wartortle swam by. Ash waved with his hand in front of her face.

"Uhm, earth to Misty!"

Misty grumbled and glared at him. "Okay, okay...we need to get those two somewhere where it's really romantic. Somewhere where they can confess their love...something like a..." Misty quirked her eyebrows at Ash. "...love tunnel?"

"A what tunnel?!" Ash said. "Are you crazy? That is too cheesy, it will never work!"

"It will work!" Misty said. "Come on, do you have a better idea?"

Ash scoffed. "No, but..."

"Then we're doing it!" Misty grabbed Ash's arm enthusiastically.

Ash sighed as Misty dragged him along.

They went to the "love tunnel", an attraction where small boats were going through a tunnel system filled with romance.

When Ash, Misty, Serena, Clemont and Pikachu stepped into the boat, Misty and Ash made sure that Serena and Clemont were in the same boat.

"Okay, is this a good idea?" Misty asked as she waved Clemont and Serena goodbye while their boat drove away. They had to wait for their boat to come.

Ash shrugged. "I don't know. But we need to give those love birds a little push...oh, look, our boat!"

Their boat arrived and the two stepped in with Pikachu sitting on the other side of Ash.

The two went silent as they went into the tunnel. There was a romantic song playing and lights in the forms of hearts reflecting on everything.

Ash suddenly felt a bit awkward. Their initial plan was to pair Clemont and Serena together, but now that they were on this 'double date'...he felt how much he still loved Misty.

Misty turned her head to looked at him. "Ash, what's wrong?"

Ash stared into her marine blue eyes. They were reflecting the light in their beautiful colour...he moved closer as he detected a few freckles around her nose.

"A-Ash?" Misty stuttered.

Ash looked down at her lips. He felt an urge to kiss her, to give her a part of his love....

"Ash..."

He moved closer and closer until their lips touched.

They felt soft. It was a bit too perfect to be his first kiss. Did Misty have any experience?

He moved back and looked at her. She seemed a little bit shocked and Ash felt guilt wash over him.

"Ah..." Ash said. "I'm sorry...I just kissed you without warning, I..."

Misty pushed her lips against his to shut him up. She gently moved her lips against his and Ash opened his mouth. Their kiss became more sloppy and they forgot the world around them.

After what seemed like minutes Misty pulled back with a blush.

"Ash, I really like you."

Ash smiled at her. He grabbed her hand and gave it a squeeze. "I like you too, Misty."

"Huh..." Misty cocked her head at him. "And all it took was a kiss! I've been waiting for years!"

"What do you mean?"

"Oh, come on!" Misty said. "I knew you liked me since a few years back, Ash! But...I was busy with the gym and you were busy traveling...I thought that you would never realize it...until now..."

Ash grinned at her. "Was it worth the wait?"

"Well...now I know that you're a good kisser."

"Hey!"

The two argued as their boat ended its tour. They arrived at the end station where Clemont and Serena were waiting for them.

"Ah!" Misty jumped out of the boat as the first one and looked hopeful at the other two. "How did it go? Did you..."

Misty stopped talking when she noticed them holding hands. Clemont chuckled and nodded.

"Yep, we're finally dating."

"Really! That is such good news!"

Serena nodded. "Yeah...but...speaking of, how was it with Ash?"

"Well..."

"We're dating now!"

Ash appeared at her side and took her hand. He looked confidently at everyone.

"Oh, finally!" Serena yelled. "I thought that it would never happen!" She released Clemont's hand and grabbed her mobile. "I'm gonna text Brock about this, I won the bet!"

"Wait..." Ash said. "What bet?"

Serena grinned sheepishly. "Ah...we kinda took a bet on when you two would hook up..."

"Serenaaa...." Misty eyes flickered dangerously. She released Ash' hand and cracked her knuckles. "Give me that phone..."

"Never!" Serena turned around and ran off. Misty yelled at her to come back and chased after her.

Ash and Clemont both chuckled at the two chasing each other.

Pikachu just simply slapped his forehead and exclaimed with his usual sound.

Megan led the way into the restaurant and gave Stephen’s name to the desk at the front.  Informed that the rest of their party was here Megan turned and grinned at Ophelia as they followed the woman across the busy room.  Her stomach was churning with nerves, not only because she was setting up her cousin but also she had never double dated with Stephen and sometimes people were very different when there were others around.  Grinning at her boyfriend as they reached the table she watched as he stood up and she leaned in to give him a quick kiss in greeting.  “Hello, I hope we haven’t kept you waiting too long.”

“You are more than worth the wait,” Stephen replied with a laugh as he looked her over quickly.  “And this must be Ophelia, I have heard so much about you.  This is Vaughn, my friend and colleague.”

*laughs apologetically* I'm not sure Runaan will ever be quite that understanding.
