The power dynamic shifts, first Kira Nerys is in control, they have trapped the mirror, her own mirror image, but then the world shifts and Kira finds herself pressing against her mirror images hand, giving in to the twisted, tangling, lust between them. Neither woman would admit that they wanted this, had longed for it, but they both had. They always had. The bond is dangerous, their need to be like this is unfair on them both, but neither would change a thing.

Juliette Nichols, someone who was nothing if not a hard worker, had never expected to meet, much less love, her identical twin. Lady Jessica was polite, of course, soft spoken but with an iron core that made her all the more attractive to Juliette.     The two had been walking together, following the path Liet picked out for them, when Jessica tripped on something under the sands, Juliette quick to scoop her up and run ahead with Liet, leaving the sands behind them to open, the tripped switch swallowed even as they made it to safety.     Jessica’s eyes are raw with fear when Juliette sets her down and she can’t help pulling the other woman into her arms. They have identical faces, identical eyes, but Jessica’s hair is longer, curling through Juliette’s fingers as she smooths the other woman’s hair from her eyes, pulling her into a gentle hug, promising her all over again ‘I got you, I’m here now’.

The neighbours often seemed to believe Beverly boring, or stuck up, a simple innocent woman. She knew they believed it, well enough she tended to lean into it. Then Tamerlane came to visit, bringing Shasta with her. The three had been dating for years, Beverly taking breaks to journey away from Crockett to see them both. This time they came to her. In the end it was Shasta who came on the right idea. Prove the neighbours wrong. Beverly, they soon learnt, was a little too able to be loud, loud enough to be heard whining their names, calling on god as Shasta and Tamerlane worked together to bring her over the edge time and again. It’s only later, far later, just before Mass, that they face the neighbours, Beverly smiling as she walks with her lovers, shameless and honest as always.
