I am pondering entering the SlashFanFic thing. As an avid yapper for all the things I would change, it is tempting, but the whole thing feels kind of passive aggressive so far. Maybe that's just my biases over past impressions, idk. Either way, if I do, I have a few options for the "Fix-It" prompt I could choose.
Episode 9. Everybody knows this one at this point. This would probably be the easiest since all I would do is remove the SA scene and rewrite it to be more focused on the fear aspect of Darkness rather than unwanted lust.
Side note: I read the community guidelines for creators while checking out this project, and episode 9 absolutely violates it. "Enthusiastic and sober consent is a must for all characters participating in the scene." So maybe fix it for real (like you guys said you would over a year ago) instead of outsourcing to fans. Plus, "Every encounter must include safe sex practices, written in a positive light." I care less about this one, but just pointing out that I rarely saw condoms or lube in the entirety of Slashfic, even with AMAB versions where lube is a must for safe practices.
One of the episodes during the Krampus arc. I would tweak it to have the romance be more optional and not have the other counselors mock you out of nowhere for choices you may have never made. Again, not a huge change, but probably more than I would do for ep 9 since it would be more rewriting rather than removing scenes.
The Presence final encounter, but with my OC's storyline. This one would be the most work, but probably also the most fun for me. I already have a WIP fic about this scene, so I have foundation to work with. I don't know if I would get it done in time to qualify for the competition, but I don't really care that much about that part tbh. I also don't think most people would know/care about my OC's beef since there's only like 10-20 people on Tumblr that may even be aware of it.
I couldn't think of any others right now, but let me know if there is an episode or scene I didn't mention that you guys would want me to take a swing at.
Anyway, what do you little people in my phone think? I am indecisive and so sleepy.
