We grew up too much. Too fast.
I reflect back on my life and wonder when did I stop dreaming. When did I stop believing I was magic and the world was full of unlimited possibilities? Growing up as a little girl I was fascinated by the ideas of fairies and magic. I was in love with all the little things life had to offer and never cared what was going on in the “real” world cuz I was too wrapped up in my dream world. I lost touch of that little girl years ago but I am working consistently every day to reconnect with her and let her know it’s time to stop hiding in the shadows.... it’s time to start dreaming and believing in the magic within myself again.
Just because I cannot see it, doesn't mean I can't believe it!

as i wake up this wednesday afternoon, i feel refreshed. invigorated by vivid dreams and undisturbed rest. i showered. as the hot water warms my body during this winter day, i start to think-- the ever so common profound enlightenment, we all experience during our shower. our wisest moment...
i haven’t dreamt like this in months. the day is quiet. surgeries cancelled. the majority of people are home for the holidays and the blistering cold beckons them inside. today i got to sleep in. i used today to break my nearly 35 days of work, which would’ve otherwise been continuous.Â
i slept enough to dream. but i’ve never longed for it while awake. trust me- i’d be the last one to say that, “i’m living my dream.” all i’m saying here is that sleep is good, but while you’re awake- make it count.
