Oof.
Ok, so i just saw someone say that 'evil' witches are devil worshippers.
Now, im not saying they CANT be. But thats incorrect. Its incorrect to generalize it. Not all witches who practice dark magick are devil worshippers. Some don't even believe that the devil exists. And viseversa. Not all devil worshippers are dark magick practitioners. Some arent even witches. Its just like not all witches are wiccans and not all wiccans are witches.
Its also wrong to accuse witches who use practices that are known as 'bad' of being evil. Those practices arent necessarily bad. Practices like voodoo, hoodoo, santería, brujería, normal dark magick, etc. (also all of the ones i mentioned here are closed except the last one so please dont use them if you dont belong to them or their cultures!) are often accused of being bad. Why? Because of stupid generalization, thats why.
I'm not saying witches who use those practices cant be bad or evil. I'm just saying that not all of them are. Why are those practices famous for being wrong/bad/evil? Because of people who used it that way. Not everyone who practices them is like that and not everyone uses it for bad things.
Voodoo and hoodoo were used by enslaved people to get revenge and justice towards their enslavers and it was also used to help other people who were suffering. Is that bad? N o.
Hexes and curses were and are still used to get revenge and justice for people who harm, people who arent good people. Is that bad? No.
Can they be used just to harm people without any good reasons or out of spite or selfish reasons? Of course, everything can.
But why only see that side of things? Why only take the stereotypes and generalized/popularized things as a fact? To me, that is wrong.
So please, do not assume things. Research, get facts, inform yourself.
That's it haha sorry for my rant but I think this an be helpful for some people :).
Have a blessed day. Remember to drink water, eat something, rest and say something nice to yourself. Give yourself the love and respect you deserve. <3
