Don’t get me wrong, I still don’t fully *get* age play as a thing- and it’s def not MY thing- but taking ID’s at the little’s group reading corner has been p eye-opening cause like. There’s a lineup of adults who find soothing others and reading stories and directing games to be really calming and fills their need to be protective and directive, and another pile of adults who crave simplicity and safety and trust and honesty who are just here to blurt shit out and say whatever comes to mind without the self-consciousness or performative social conventions of adulthood or meeting other’s expectations and like. It’s kinda sweet. Just a group of folks letting go of the rules for a while to play pretend. A bunch of folks who’ve decided they’d like to be themselves and enjoy life the way they want
