The air conditioning is not on. You didn't want that because of the man made drone which is the sort of sound that fries small kids brains in a science fiction story written by a geeky 12 year old boy. Instead the window is open so the steam can leave. The temperature of the bath was verging on the uncomfortable side of hot, that was what you wanted, it's good for the stiffened muscles of a hard days work. You can physically feel your pores opening and small droplets of sweat form on your temples and gently roll down your cheek. Your mind is set in the 80s due to the programme you were watching on Netflix. Ten minutes since you last kept track of time is up, meaning it's time to get out. You get up quickly, trying to free your bare skin of the bubbles collecting on it and jump straight into an ice cold shower. You have to trace waves with your foot to make sure that the excess bubbles go down the plug hole. The bubbles are now gone. You get out the shower after letting cold water run down your face one more time. You are now wrapped in a large towel sat on the edge of the bath. The sound of the tiny bubbles popping are only just audible over the pouring rain that can be heard through the open window. You sit on the floor now, legs straight out in front of you, remembering that it is better for your circulation that way. The coffee you made around forty five minutes ago is Luke warm and too strong but still comforting, you take bigger mouthfuls because of the lack of heat. You are on your own, and you are relaxed with such a powerful sense of happiness, your thoughts feel light and God you are so lucky to be alive.
