so. I didn't do the whole DoctorDonnathon that ran today but I still wanted to join in so I thought I'd rewatch The Fires of Pompeii since that's one of my faves in s4.
and right at the start of the episode I noticed something I hadn't before, which surprised me given the number of hours I spent messing around on imovie as a kid. and it's that the opening music is very very similar, at times identical, to one of the imovie royalty free jingles
either they're both separately based on some other piece of music I'm missing or one of them was inspired by the other?? which seems unlikely so I expect it's the first option but I just can't work out what
bonus: I used shazam to try and find the piece they're both based on, and in doing so I found an album on all the usual album places (youtube, spotify, amazon) where 2/3 of the songs are literally just imovie jingles smushed together. so there's that.
