*Puts mouth to the mic* uhhh so can we get a little smth with Makoto ending up on the riverbank date with his eldritch horror who doesn’t know he’s an eldritch horror (Ryoji) all while his friends go “uhhh whatcha got there?”
Okay so...I hate to admit it, but I couldn’t think up anything strictly surrounding Ryomina and the riverbank scene. I didn’t get that far when I played the game, and I am rusty with my baby boys. So, I decided to play into a more goofy angle with some slight nudges about Ryoji being off. If you wanted something closer to my shadow!Ryoji, I’m sorry, I tried, and I hope you enjoy regardless. I also hope my edits actually helped, lol. It took me so long to finally finish the second draft.
Yukari Takeba loved the sunset on the water, the oranges and reds turned the sparkling water a gorgeous wine-like purple-red. It turned the sand a lovely warm color, and the late hour meant there were few people to destroy her peace. If only she could’ve enjoyed that peace and quiet before night fell.
Sadly, she’d promised Aigis that she’d babysit the pair of young men who basked in the sunset’s beauty while she had to bask in how goofy Ryoji Mochizuki was.
I have no clue what Aigis fears about this man… She thought while she watched Ryoji play in the water as if he’d never walked beside a river from behind somebody’s forgotten camping chair.
Ryoji was Gekkoukan’s latest transfer heart throb. Tall, with a round face, ocean-blue eyes, and dark, fluffy brown hair that he wore in a swept back style, he was a beautiful man who also came with an extroverted yet sweetly awkward personality. He would’ve been perfect, if only he hadn’t been hellbent on befriending Minato Arisato. Though, Minato wasn’t an ugly man himself. He was shorter than Ryoji, but he had midnight-blue hair that he kept shaggy enough that his bangs covered one of his eyes. He was far more stand-offish than the golden retriever in a yellow scarf, but that just gave him an air of mystery that had netted him a fanclub of his own.
Together, the pair made an odd pair, but not a particularly scary one. Especially not when Yukari had to watch as Ryoji tried to catch a fish, and Minato held onto his scarf like a leash so that he didn’t fall in. This is such a waste of my time.
“Why are we spying on Minato?” Mitsuru whispered in Yukari’s ear, suddenly so close that the brunette could feel her breath tickle her ear. Her head whipped around to stare at the cherry-haired woman.
“Wha- What are you doing here, Mitsuru?!” She squeaked, but Mitsuru only shrugged.
“I saw you hiding here,so I came over to see what you were up to. Why are you spying on Minato and Ryoji?” She asked again, and Yukari felt her face heat up at record speeds.
“I’m not spying, A-Aigis just asked me to make sure Ryoji didn’t get up to anything while she was exploring.” She quickly explained, and Mitsuru hummed with a small nod. She looked over to watch Minato pop Ryoji upside the head for an undoubtedly perverted or inappropriate comment.
“I think our leader could handle himself if Ryoji did get up to anything.” Mitsuru finally decided, and Yukari sighed, but nodded.
The two girls sat for a moment to watch Minato bully the brunette onto his back as if he were a dog submitting to the smaller man. It was as if Ryoji couldn’t decide whether he wanted to be a dog, or a well adjusted eighteen-year-old man. Which, was probably the weirdest thing Yukari had noticed about the brunette. He acted like a normal person sometimes, then like an animal or heathen that hadn’t seen the sun until he was shipped to Gekkoukan. But, Minato still beat him for being weird, because he reacted to Ryoji’s weirdness without a bat of his eye.
“Yeah, okay. Minato can probably handle himself.” Yukari decided, then stood up. “How about we get some dinner?” And the redhead nodded. She straightened to follow the brunette away from the riverbank. They left the men to their odd games while the sun went down.
