Day 1/ 100 days of productivity
So lets start this format again. I had a talk with my bachelor students today and they presented their interim results on their bachelor thesis.
Also my professor and i started to prepare the wintertrimester (yeah we have trimesters instead of semesters) masters seminar.
I did a lot, and at the same time i feel like i haven't worked anything so far.
I installed and set up my citavi last week. Im not sure how to balance my work with citavi and onenote, but i guess i will figure out.

Tomorrow is my first day as research assistant and i am really excited. I hope i can sleep somehow.

my research got accepted into another psychological conference in Las Vegas!

In other news, Iβm learning how neurodivergence (like ADHD and autism) shows up differently for black and brown ppl due to our cultural factors, gender roles and expectations(machismo/marianismo), stigma and racism. Access to medical care is also a big one as these neuropsych assessments can start at $2k, which a lot of working class families just lying around.
Stigma and racism, for example!! Black and brown boys and girls often get misdiagnosed or over diagnosed with oppositional defiance disorder, schizophrenia and bipolar rather than being diagnosed with ADHD and autism when they meet criteria for that better. This also connects to why black and brown children enter the juvenile system at a higher rate (which is a whole other post/rant) But Iβm so grateful that Iβll be able to serve my community and challenge this harm done by poorly trained psychs!
