“I’d advise you don’t. She’s a bit…skittish. She’s already made quick work of filling Vaike’s face with claw marks.”

As much as the tactician annoyed him - he wouldn’t wish such a fate upon her. Already Adelaide was growing tense in his arms. A soft hiss leaving her as she shot Daedra a rather fearsome glare. Such a picky thing the kitten was. And yet she was fond of Gavroche - of all people.

He didn’t know whether to take it as a compliment or feel insulted.

“Daedra! I said no!” he would SMACK her hand away if need be.

“Oooh, so that explains the criss-crossed bandages on his face,” the redhead commented, tapping a finger to her lip. “From the fuss he was making at the healers, everyone thought he’d been attacked by a cougar,” she added with a giggle.

Poor Vaike didn’t have the best luck with animals. His overly loud confidence tended to get everything too wired. He’d been kicked and bitten by a collection of even the most docile mounts in the army. 

Daedra could only assume the same happened with Gavroche’s new friend.

She reached a hand closer, intent to let the feline sniff her out and make friends, but Gavroche’s sudden command had her recoiling back. Blinking at the sorcerer, Daedra outright pouted at being denied such a simple luxury. 

At first, she intended to comment that he was being mean by hogging the cat’s attention, but upon further inspection, the tactician saw perhaps he had some merit. The tactician wasn’t naive enough to not notice a hostile creature when she saw it. Generally, she could charm doggies and horses easy enough with a calm tone, but somehow she doubted it would work on this cat.

It was Gavroche’s afterall. She didn’t know how, but he was probably training it to be mean to her.
