Big Diverging and Adaptational Change for Yui
In which I'm about to dive deep into an idea that’s been with me in my mind for so long. So please bear with me.
Essentially, if any of you have seen or played Diabolik Lovers, you will know that the reason Yui was sent to the Sakamaki manor and the vivid memories she has been having in her dreams were due to possessing the heart of the first blood vampire, Cordelia. The first mother of the Sakamakis, who was killed by her own sons, and her heart was surgically transplanted into her by Ritcher into an infant Yui, in order to become her latest host.
After all. We all know that ever since an infant prior to the canon events, Yui was given Cordelia’s heart that allowed her to be the blood bank of the Sakamaki brothers and the tragic and horrific outcomes that came to the boys, breaking Yui’s sense of self that resulted in Cordelia possessing Yui, even to the extent of having both of their personalities merged together .
However, in some of the aus that I’m working on that have Yui living in a better environment, since looking at DL, that won’t be the case in that matter in my au verse for Yui.
One fact about me is that I’m a big fan of media and fanfics that focus on character divergence and alternate universes; one such show that follows this formula is Marvel’s What If. In fact, if you happen to have watched or are familiar with the series Marvel's What If? Then it’s clear that what I’m about to say may be controversial at first, but hopefully will make sense once I explain it:
What if, on the night of her adoption of Seiji Komori, Yui doesn’t have Cordelia’s heart?
And yes, before any of you can come out, angry and saying "But that's impossible!" or "You can't just remove Cordelia's heart from Yui! She wouldn't be here had Ritcher found infant Yui and placed her heart in her!" I would understand where you're going with. However, as I mentioned, I'll explain why I chose this idea that has been with me.
Like I said before regarding my views towards Yui, despite not having to watch or play DL, it always pains to see Yui be tormented and hurt by the vampires that were supposed to be her "lovers," and the fact that not only was she sent there as a sacrificial bride with no hope of ever escaping. But the awful realization that she was the host of the heart and spirit of a sadistic, vain, and cruel vampire queen, who also happens to be the mother of the Sakamakis, as well. Not even getting to mention the implications of having your sense of self being merged and eroded with the soul of a person such as Cordelia after going through a heavy amount of blood-sucking and harassment from these mosquitoes.
Honestly, if I or any other girl were in Yui's place and I or she found out that horrible truth, I don't think either of us would be physically and mentally okay after these events.
And it’s also that very reason of mine, in loving Yui and giving her happiness, is why I can’t allow something like transplanting Cordelia’s heart into Yui for the tragic events in the future to happen again to Yui in my universe.
Which leads me to my next point. Before having to think and work on some of the Yui centric aus I have currently on this blog, I always love to invest myself in au fanfics that involve the characters who had been either suffered in the past or fated to be so, whenever be it infanthood, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, to be living in a safe, syable and healthier environment with a equally safe, stable and healthy person with them. Consequently, all these are results of events that are seemingly inconvenient at first, which leaves said suffering characters to behave and live more positively and emotionally mature, thanks to living in better environmental conditions. Some of which also include the removal or alleviation of a major character’s negative influence that once had been part of the suffering character’s life through a simple alternative decision or a supernatural intervention to ensure a better outcome for them.
Case in point, that very last statement at the end is exactly the very reason why I am writing this post. In addition to removing the Diaboys' influence from Yui’s life in my aus, the same action can also be applied to Cordelia’s involvement and role as Yui’s host when the latter was a baby through either of the two categories or both below:
Via someone who is a similar supernatural being and is close to or has met Yui’s birth mother, and lets her stay with them. Resulting in both denying Richter and Karlheinz a suitable host for Cordelia’s heart to ensure the Adam and Eve, and was able to bring an infant Yui into the world, healthy and alive, thanks to the living conditions Yui’s mother had lived in.
Or
Have someone from outside the demon realm who happened to stop Richter from implanting Cordelia's heart into infant Yui and instead played a part in keeping Yui alive, albeit with interesting changes to her as a prepared precaution should she meet the Diaboys as a teen
Essentially, for short. Given these points above, while these factors can be different or combined depending on which direction I’m going with, both of them serve as a big point of divergence in ensuring Yui will have a better life, free and happy, outside and out of the Diaboy’s influence and lives.
After all, if all of these horrible events in Yui’s life had happened because of the fact that Cordelia is a very bad mother to her sons, who happened to kill her as part of Karl’s plan, and Richter had to place her heart into a young baby Yui prior to being adopted by Seiji Komori’s hands, before having to send her to the manor. Then it’s only best for me to immediately nip the bud out of the stem before it blooms into something worse.
Namely, removing Cordelia’s heart and spirit from ever implanting into an infant Yui, and importantly, preventing her and the boys from breaking and ruining Yui’s life in the future.
And by doing so, by the time some of my au versions of Yui take flight and the boys, sooner or later, out of her life, she would already be healthy and alive as an infant before transitioning into her current 17-year-old self, her true self; free and independent from the first blood vampire queen's grip in her life.

Halloween Fun Fact for Sera:
Sera happens to love vampire movies and media. But she only watches the ones that features vampires or bat themed men who wear blue, has a knightly-theme/motif with a sword as their weapon, possess initial anti-hero qualities before character development drops in on them, and fights alongside a companion and ally wearing pink who may or may not end up as their love interest. Oh and they must have a Spanish related influence in them ala Zorro.
Vampire romance stories that are inspired by Twilight, Fifty Shades, or Diabolik Lovers however.
She hates them.
Loathes them a lot with a burning hatred actually.

Guys I have a fashion confession I want to make
I was doodling and updating in some casual clothes for the characters from my DL au, Selenic Rebellion on my new small sketchbook, which I want all of them to have the look of a protagonist in a horror game. However, while I was looking up on some outfit ideas of the horror game protagonist aesthetic, I was forced to come to a conclusion when I was looking up outfit idea for the boys:
By God Men’s Horror Game Protagonist Fashion Sucks So Badly!!! 😫😫😫
I mean seriously. It’s so limited and boring in comparison to the stylish, cutesy and dark outfits of the females which came straight out from a fashion magazine. Not to mentioned there are also some little details in their outfits that help to communicate their personalities and their connection to their respective game’s lore.
Yet, when it comes to the men’s outfits in horror games, (barring some exceptions like Leon Kennedy, Luigi, The Hunter from Bloodborne and Castlevania Alucard etc) their outfits are just Criminal. Basically all of them, most often than not, consist of a bland casual shirt, jacket, hoodie and jeans with no flavor style or spice to communicate their personalities, with the only trait these milquetoast guys are “Where’s My Wife/Sister.”
Like you guys seriously get what I’m saying. (Man, now I know how June from Ginjaninjaowo feels when it comes to men’s fashion on YouTube)
Thankfully for me ngl, it’s a good thing that I have a thing for feminine/androgynous/gender-queered presenting men ala Genshin, Twst and Clamp given their outfits and most of my male oc cast members of SR has at least some feminine traits or fem style of clothing or aesthetics in their designs cuz like for real.
Why can’t the most, if not all, of the male outfits in horror games take inspiration from gothic, Ouji Lolita, dark academia, or visual kei styles for their outfits.
Okay.
I've managed to take a 3 day (as of typing this) break from Tumblr after that scam fiasco last friday, and I'm slowly but ready to get back on rebloging and posting my content on my personal account.
Ofc, prior to this, I did happen to encounter another scammer on my messages who just freaking happens to not only impersonate/hack another follower of mine, But Also Used The Same Scam That Had Me Fooled Last Friday 😡😡😡
Well, fortunately for me and unfortunate for them, I've learned my goddamn lesson in having myself fooled by that stupid trick once, and rest assured that I was able to ignore said scam they pulled and block them, just right after I threatened that scamming A-hole that I'm reporting them of scamming me if they don't leave me alone.
All in all.
Glad to have myself back into Tumblr, while very much locked in should any of these scamming mofos tries to scam me or my close mutuals.
Just like the old saying: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned... and Scammed."

Madoka Magica Au Idea
cuz I’ve been thinking about PMMM as of recently. As while the premise of the series is well known for being a deconstruction of the magical girl genre and the psychological horror that comes from having to become one and with the upcoming movie coming four months to next year, I can’t help but wonder what pmmm will be like as a traditional magical girl series in the same vein as Sailor Moon and Precure.
Basically having the same magical girl feminist message of girls empowering and encouraging girls to believe that they are strong yet feminine at the same time, but still keeps in the mature and dark elements from the original without becoming way too dark and edgy like with the og version.
Idk, but it does seem like it has some good potential in it and if you know me, I like me some good old fashioned au stories that takes the canon events of series I like and diverge and reboot them into something fresh to enjoy, yet still keeps in the charm of their respective series.
but let me you what you guys think since while pmmm is good in its own dark way, it’s nice to have a good au of Madoka Magica being a traditional magical girl series as well.
Oh and um something of a fun fact for you guys before I forget:
Almost, if not all, of my ocs that I made for Yui to interact are mostly based off of some of main cast of Code Geass
…
Yeah.
(Should have pointed out the obvious design notes on my dl ocs.)
