Part of my return to tumblr was because of family chasing me down and asking for knitted/crocheted things. I hate having to keep explaining I can’t really do crochet anymore because of the ganglion cyst in my wrist - it just plain hurts too much. I tried to make the equivalent in a knitted format - I won’t share those pictures as I thought it turned out horrible, so I ended up crocheting it instead. I just hope she likes it because I’m not making any more.
The pattern (for anyone else interested) can be found here. It’s not too difficult, though the bit between the ribbing and the crown points was trickier than it had to be (the person who wrote the directions didn’t explain it very well), so I ended up doing it my own way. When all else fails, be creative, right? ;) But it looks nice and thick and comfy. Good thing, too, as we’re supposed to get very cold tonight as winter tries to make it’s formal debut.
