Cinnamon Stick Throwing for Divination
Hello everyone! I'd like to discuss cinnamon stick throwing for divination. You have probably seen something similar with bone throwing. Well when you live in a big city and not around many wild animals, you find other ways. These are mine above.
This was actually inspired by Chaos_Occultist on TikTok
Did I choose cinnamon stick divination for other reasons too?
Yes I did! My ancestors actually first came to me with the scent of cinnamon. And while communicating with a pendulum is one way, the cinnamon sticks is an easier way especially if I am out and about.
So what did you do?
So first I wrote some norse runes on the cinnamon sticks to give the intentions for protection, divination, etc. I enchanted mine with a protection oil I made a while back. I dipped my finger and dressed the cinnamon sticks. Then I had my ancestors bless the cinnamon sticks.
So how does it work for you?
While yes it will work with different people, I find when it says yes that the cinnamon sticks cross or if most of them cross. If some cross and they are close together, then it is a maybe. If they basically bounce away from each other and none are close, then that is a no for me.

Divination On A Budget
Apple Divination -> Hold an apple in your hands and keep your question in your mind. Visualize a line splitting the apple in half; one side means yes the other no. Be sure not to change the meaning each side. Cut the apple in half, the side that has the most seeds is your answer.
Smoke Divination -> Create smoke however you wish; a candle, by smudging, or any other method. Look into the smoke and notice any shapes or images that appear. If you have a specific question hold it in your mind as you interpret the images that appear.
Pendulums -> You don't have to buy a fancy pendulum from a witchy store to use this method of divination! Use a necklace or just put a weight on a string, but be sure to cleanse and program it.
Ink Divination -> Get a piece of paper and a marker, fountain pen, or even use paint on a canvas. Close your eyes, clear your mind, and begin to instinctively move the ink around on the page. If you'd like you can put music on as you do this. When you feel you are done open your eyes and examine what you have drawn for images hidden in the lines.
Bubble Bath Divination -> Draw a bath and add as much bubbles as you want. Submerge yourself and as the bubbles grow examine them for images or signs. If you have a specific question hold it in your mind.
Make Tarot Cards -> Tarot cards can be expensive so why not just make your own? Just find pdf versions of some tarot cards on the internet. Print them out, cut them to shape, and then glue them to regular playing cards or on a thick paper like card stalk. Laminating them would be ideal but not necessary. Cleanse them before using!
Candle Divination -> Light a candle and stare into the flame. You may eventually see images in the flame that you can then interoperate, or you can ask a question and use the height and behavior of the flame to indicate your answer.
Make Runes -> Collect some stones (with their permission of course) and paint a rune on each one. Cleanse them before use! You may also use wood, crystals, or any other such materials to create them. Be creative!
The Library Spirits -> Go to a library or use the books you own at home. Call on the spirits of the library and ask them to assist you in finding the answers you seek. Allow yourself to be drawn to a book. It can be any book of any genre and any length. Open the book to a random page and the first sentence your eyes land on is the answer to the question you have.

You got a minute?
If you have a minute it would be lovely if you could answer this question because I want to remake a divination technique I worked on when I just started out with witchcraft (nope there is no post about this) so.. - What are your favourite tarot / oracle cards and what meanings do they have for you? - And which tarot cards are most important to you (not necessarily your favourite ones, rather the ones you think have to be there to call you out on your shit) ? - Which aspects should be covered in a reading? Or just tell me anything that's important for you about divination (no matter which kind) Thank you so much for your time! 🙈🔮
