Today’s acts of busy-ness… the ‘salad box’ has been set-up again, it worked so well last year! Only 5 varieties of lettuce this year, we had 6 last year but there was one nobody liked so I didn’t buy it again. This year we also started adding herbs to the side-boxes. Our baby rhubarb is on it’s 2nd year and I would guess we’re still not going to be able to get much from it… very sad that invasive Virginia Creeper killed off the 2 patches my Dad brought from house to house with them. It’s trying to take out our goose berries now too. Ugh. No matter… glad to get some dirt under my nails and know we’ll have fresh salad and burger/wrap toppings for a few months.
