Food for your rear - Lemon Chicken and Green Beans.
Let me preface this post by telling you all that I love following diet meal plans. Β I just love having instructions for what I should be eating and then observing the results. Β So the other day I saw this picture while browsing a fashion blog:
Holy cow. Β She is HOT. Β Even Rihanna is checking her out! Β So in a fit of optimism I did some searching and found out that she keeps her body in shape with the Brazil Butt Lift program. Β Oh yeah? Β Well I'm half Brazilian and my butt could certainly use some lifting, so one visit to amazon, two days, and $73 later I am the proud owner of the Brazil Butt Lift Program (see photo, yeah I want that booty). Β
And you know what's even better? Β It comes with a meal plan! Β Oh yeah...it is ON! Β The program begins with a 6 day booster meal plan and exercise regimen that's super strict. Β So for the next 6 days I will give you the recipes for the dinners I am preparing for myself. Β I wont bore you with the lunch and breakfast stuff. Β It's mostly salads and eggs anyway. Β If you are interested in seeing it all just let me know.
So first we have our lemon chicken.
Marinate 4 oz of boneless skinless chicken breast in lemon and olive oil (I did it for 2 hours). Β The small one in the pic is mine and the big one is Rob's. Β I am not going to make him suffer because I want to try something crazy!
I probably wasn't supposed to but I seasoned my chicken with salt and pepper because I can only take so much! Β Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for about 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
Next wash and trim the green beans (this is actually supposed to be served with snap peas but they aren't in season so I couldn't find them).
Measure out one cup (two here because Rob ate with me) and steam.
And there you have it, dinner! Β I served mine with a side salad of mixed greens and persimmons with a dressing of balsamic, olive oil and seasoning salt. Β The program says if you get hungry just add more salad and I knew I would be. Β
The chicken was actually delicious! Β The meal was really yummy despite the fact that it was diet food. Β It filled me up too. Β Meal number one is officially a success! Β Happy cooking!
