Deviled eggs in cocktail sauce. Très magnifique!
The Art of French Cooking - 1962
Is it wrong that I want deviled eggs :(
You're telling me the devil himself made these eggs just for me?

Appetizers and Snacks - Sell Your Soul to the Devil Eggs Recipe This deviled egg recipe is for you if you enjoy sweet and tangy deviled eggs. Adding savory flavors are a hint of onion and garlic.
Now Cooking: Devil Eggs
Have you ever had devilled eggs? So good. Really I would bet they get their name from how devilishly good they are when you turn an egg into something that decadent. I made them again for the first time since my great grandma passed away, as it is her recipe, and its hard to make it without being able to call her. But I made them for a fourth of july brunch recently and thought I would share it with y’all!
Ingredients:
Eggs
Mayonnaise
Mustard
Pickles
Black Pepper
Paprika
Recipe:
Hard boil the eggs (or skip steps 1-3 and get hard boiled eggs)
If you do hard boil the eggs, after cooking cool them off.
When cool, peel the shell off.
Cut them in half (either way works)
Scoop out the inside and put the insides in a bowl
Once all are empty, mix in mayo/mustard/diced pickles/spices a little at a time, taste often
Once mix is to your liking, scoop a little bit back into each egg
Store any leftover mix in an extra bowl
Store in the fridge when not eating
Now I usually have a hard time getting the “hard boiled eggs” part right and decided to try getting already made hard boiled eggs. Incredibly risky to try but it worked. Another possible change one could make, is to use relish instead of diced pickles. But again, when taking this and making it your own, have fun. Deviled eggs are one of the harder things to make as its not so much a “by the numbers” recipe. Try it and let me know how devilish your eggs are!
I know its weird timing, but i am never gonna eat another deviled egg again
