"don't you—?" nate started then stopped, as though courage had left him before he'd manage to reach the end of the sentence. it took a second, for him to take a deep breath, start again, "do you maybe wanna—" he had to clear his throat, "hm, maybe you could stay the night, if you don't have like something to do tomorrow or whatever." the whole attempt at a sentence ending with a very tired sigh.

"what's a little peck between friends?" alanis raises her eyebrows along with her question, though there's a far too telling smirk playing on her lips. "come on, you're not going to freak out now are you? it'll be fun."

"so maybe i had a little too much to drink, so what ? what are you ? my father ? "

"i guess he stood us both up." the male commented with an amused chuckle, trying to lighten the mood after the other male forgot about dinner with him and his girlfriend at his place."i can't finish all this pizza on my own though, so you can stay and keep me company."

luna glanced up at the person standing before her, frustration evident in her eyes. "hey, can you just cut it out? you don't give a damn about me, so why the hell should i have to pretend like we're in some cheesy movie?" she snapped, her tone filled with disbelief. "i've been through some shit, so go ahead and laugh at me. it's crystal clear that we're not exactly best buds."
