For the blessings of your church, thank you God. Yes, I know your church has many expressions, and I know that none of those expressions is perfect (after all, you’ve left your church to the stewardship of people, and our egos and greed and anger and judgmentalism get in the way of perfection). Still, I am grateful for the community it seeks to create and the love it seeks to share and the prophetic words it seeks to voice. And this weekend, I especially pray for the “general” gatherings of my two denominations that are happening right now, and I thank you that these beloved denominations do their best of speak the truth in love to themselves, to each other, and to the world. Amen.
