Fingers crossed for tomorrow

Emma had spent months tracking him down; this pirate with a blood lust to rival her own. While his vengeance centralized on a singular target it happened to be exactly what she needed. If she were going to go against everything she’d ever known she could use someone with centuries of hatred on his side.

She’d caught wind of his location, narrowing it down to a canal that lead through the northern pass. Given his habit of sailing between the realms she needed to act fast before her chance might be robbed once more. So it was there she let herself drift in the mist, swirling around on the wind until she spotted it: the Jolly Roger. 

Alighting silently on the deck she grinned, glancing around the sleepy skeleton crew as she let her magic branch out, a sudden tugging at the sails, a gale to pick up the speed before she released the hold for the anchor with a bare thought. Her body braced for when it connected deep below, tangling into the jagged rocks the resulting slam straining the ship into a full halt as the sounds of cargo and crew echoed in the hull below, dislodged from it’s holding.
