Progress or Loss of Humanity?
"Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.'' - L. da Vinci
Technology is a brilliant invention, capable of dazzling the human mind. But is it truly necessary for all progress to move in a single direction? Social media takes our dopamine, entertains us, accelerates us, and shapes us. To the point of making us forget the lessons of the past and, worse, ourselves. Progress has granted freedoms once unimaginable, but perhaps it is also a silent and effective form of control. As the world moves forward, certain values fade: art, music, philosophy. Thinking slowly becomes suspicious. When did boredom go from being a gateway to creativity to a modern sin? Boredom is not emptiness; it is the space where something begins. For me, freedom is the ability to explore all our faculties and abilities. It is living in a world where that is valued and rewarded. Yet, social media convinces us otherwise: that our worth depends only on numbers, speed, and instant approval.
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." - A. Einstein
From this perspective, a world dominated by artificial intelligence threatens to strip humanity of an essential part of its existence: meaning. The idea that AI will replace professionals not only generates economic anxiety, but also existential dread. Not everyone was born to fit into technological molds, and forcing humanity to do so is denying its diversity. Progress without reflection is not advancement; it is speed without direction. And a society that forgets the value of thinking, creating, and being bored runs the risk of losing something far graver than jobs: its humanity and freedom.

✮ The Love We Cannot See ✮
“True love stories never have endings.” – Richard Bach There is something about lighting a candle from the past that gives us goosebumps. Certain scents reanimate forgotten places that awaken certain emotions and make us remember how not so long ago we were bursting with the colors of life. It was the 90s. Grunge displaced the flamboyant hair metal music of the 80s. Beverly Hills 90210 and…
