Heike and a few others spent the night at Hondo's place in Japan. Hondo decided to give the teen a gift to make him feel more welcome as it was his home once. Unbeknownst to him however, the gift that he gives once belonged to an old friend who had since passed on...
...And he wasn't very happy about a stranger wearing his pendant...
Periodic reminder that your parents won’t be around forever, and if there’s a recipe of theirs or a way they play a piece of music or a story that they tell that you love--find a way to learn it, or record it, because these things are easily lost.
@aphoticabyss okay so since you said you liked the previous monstrosities, i've allowed myself to make more, because my mind is a dumpster fire of bad memes and other people's ocs (btw i hope you get well soon remi! these might not be of much help in that, but still, best wishes)
based on this thing that conveniently appeared in my twitter feed yesterday:
(henry f. belongs to @bandit-art, i hope you don't mind the tag)
HCs for La Squadra suddenly becoming a single parent to a 5 year old daughter they didn’t know they had with a now deceased ex- girlfriend they used to be close with?
He hadn't wanted the relationship to end but he was too busy to care for you as he had wanted. The day you left was hard for him, but he'd managed to put it to the back of his mind. He had work to be done and a tram that needed him. You were unhappy and he could see that. As time passed, memories of you began to fade away, until one day there was a knock at the door…
---
Risotto
- He doesn't let his face betray the pain and the guilt he feel when he receives the news of his passing from the social worker your child had been left with. He takes the little girl with no fight, but she seems reluctant.
- He's not great with kids, but he doesn't want to let go of all he has that's left of you in the world. He can see you in her face and in some of her quirks and it pains him. He lets her show him the way you used to make her favorite foods or tuck her in at night; it's their way of staying close to you.
- Does his best to accommodate for her. He heads things from home when he can while the two take some time adjusting to their new lives and getting to know one another. It's very awkward – neither really knowing how to go about this situation.
Pesci
- Pesci feels nothing but shame. If only he'd known. If only he'd been there. He almost openly cries, but he saves it for when he's alone and not in the presence of his new daughter.
- He tries hard to over compensate for all of the lost time. He apologizes a lot and does his best to be there for her. He explains the situation to Risotto, who gives him the time he needs to adjust. He seeks advice from his own relatives and friends on where to even start, here.
- It's takes some time, but they do get close. She knows Pesci is trying; it's just not the same. They talk a lot about how much they miss you. They both also have a thing for sweets and binge on junk food on the odd special occasion.
Prosciutto
- This is a lot to process, but he doesn't like to show weakness in front of others. He takes the girl in with little fuss. And tries to not to act like this isn't affecting him. A real man knows how to adapt to these sort of things, he tells himself.
- It leaves a bit of a barrier – the child thinks he's just doesn't care and avoids him. It isn't until he has an open heart to heart about all this, that she opens up back to him.
- He doesn't say anything about it, but he gets nostalgic when he sees her mimicking some of your old habits. He doesn't let it show, but it hurts a little thinking of what could have been had he fought for you just a little harder way back then.
Formaggio
- He would have thought it as some kind of cruel joke if he weren't face to face with the little one in question. He doesn't want to believe it's real. That he let you just slip away and now he only has a kid he's never met in your place.
- He doesn't take this frustrations out on the little girl. She doesn't want to be here any more than he does. It's a tough transition. Formaggio is normally pretty OK with kids, but those are his nieces and nephews that he only sees for maybe a few hours at a time.
- He introduces her to his family fast, so he has some help and someone to turn to when he needs. She thinks he's avoiding her at first, but they learn to cope when Formaggio finally slips out of the denial phase and they learn how to bond, he finds she takes after him quite a bit.
Melone
- Melone smiles at his daughter. He knows this must be a lot to take in and is surprisingly gentle consoling her. He'd pushed his feelings for you back a long time ago, and tries his hardest to ignore any and every sign of them resurfacing. It's too late to think about that now.
- Despite the circumstance and suddenness of the situation, he's the most welcoming. Real children are different than his Juniors, but he has the best idea of where to begin. Of course, it requires a lot of adjustments in his life. Having to stay back more and be careful who he lets around her.
- Melone tries to become close with her, but she's decidedly distant. She doesn't want a new dad, she wants her mom back. She pushes him away for a while before he finally manages to get through to her.
Ghiaccio
- No part of Ghiaccio wants to keep the kid at first – he is just not ready for that – but the second he looks down and sees your eyes on her sad, little face he gives in and takes her in. He has a lot to work through here and no idea what to do. He needs time, but his daughter also requires his attention and then he still has work to do.
- He leaves her with a friend for a day or two so he can take some times to let out the steam. And, as much as he hates seeking advice, he does confer with Melone and Risotto for help. With his head clear, he's able to better deal with what's going on. It's very awkward. She doesn't seem too keen on talking for a few days. He lets her pick how she wants to set up her room and what kinds of stuff she wants to bring from her old home, if they can. Just to make sure she's comfortable.
- She's finally manages to laugh for the first time when he goes into one of his rages about nonsense. She says her mom always used to talk about that. She doesn't really get some stuff, either, being 5 and all. It makes him go quiet for a little bit. But they talk for a while after and become fast friends.
Illuso
- Illuso had his suspicions when you left all those years back, but you never came to him with it, so he never brought on the topic. Now, he wish that he had. That he had pressed just a little bit before letting you go. He puts the past behind him and tries to move past the what-ifs to focus on the here and now.
- He's friendly and tries hard to help ease her into her new life. He asks questions to get to know her better and is open about a few of his own hobbies. Just to break the ice. He's pretty good with people, but this isn't your average situation and she just tries to hide from him. No one can blame her, she's scared and confused. She'll come around, he's sure. Illuso is a patient man.
- It takes a while for her to start to open up to him. She becomes very clingy to him, and shows a strong shy streak. She hides behind him a lot and clings to his legs when they're out and about. She talks about you a lot, especially when she's tired, and Illuso just lets her prattle on until she falls asleep.

I don't know if anyone remembers my Twitter mutuals AU but I just found some tweets ideas I had for their fake profiles while looking for some papers and I couldn't not share
--
Roman: If you think I won't sing the entire Disney soundtrack in a go, you're wrong.
--
Patton: Knock knock! Who's there? Oh just my love for you, have a nice day!
--
Virgil: does anyone want to take me out? With a gun, preferably.
--
Logan: Can you believe Star Trek didn't actually follow the physics laws of sound travel in space? Unacceptable.
--
Deceit: Reality is a social construct.
Person: do you take constructive criticism
Deceit: Constructive criticism based on an abstract concept that anyone can interpret however they want is already a failing argument and I will tell you why. (1/?)
Person: please don't. I give up.
Deceit: So first of- Oh alright

My heart goes out to anybody and everybody affected by the New Zealand terrorist attack, please stay safe and be sure to check in on family and friends to be sure that they are safe as well. I sincerely hope that things get better for everybody in that area.
Also, if you do not believe nor understand that this was in fact an act of terrorism then please educate yourself, just because the shooter was white doesn't make it any less of a hate crime or act of terrorism. Please do nit belittle the trauma that these folks had to withstand because """tHAt waSN't TeRrORisM, hE WaS WhITe!!1!!!!1!!!!1!""" If you do so then you are not truely anti-terrorism, you are anti- whatever your terrorism stereotype is.
In semi-related news: if you or someone else is only concerned about pewdiepie and his reputation then please unfollow me, I don't need unempathetic dipshits spreading my posts around.
I really love all of your prompts! Can you give me some things that are super darkish? I love a suprisingly dark story!
//I hope you don’t mind I alluded to dark things, rather than outright stated them, just in case.
“You should be glad I changed my mind about you.”
“Have you been in my house the entire time?”
“I just didn’t want to think it was you, but it was, right? It had to be.”
“It’ll be worth the sacrifice. You’ll see. You’ll come to understand in time.”
