Well, that's one way to distract an ambitious egoist: give them a puzzle they'd be remiss not to solve. It clearly piques Cyrus' interest, anyway, and he puts his head down with his hand on his chin to think.

That is quite curious; how I accomplished my goal was to use material already found in my particular universe. While the beings of Time and Space are inter-dimensional, they exist everywhere at once.

Cyrus hadn't realised he was being addressed, at first. It was only when he took stock of his surroundings, that no one else should be around him to be talked-at, that he finally clued-in to the interaction. A small glance over the shoulder to confirm and, yes, someone was speaking to him.

With a very subtle sigh, he turns to face his assailant... with said 'dead Magikarp stare'.

For as hard as the kick was, how frail Cyrus might've seemed, the man was hardly phased. Forced forward a few steps, yes, but then with a speed to him that not many would've witnessed, he whipped around and out from nothingness came his Weavile.

"Acubens, go!"

It's a furious, all-at-once burning rage that twists his expression into what it becomes. In only a matter of seconds he's schooling it back to what he'd prefer it to be-- cold and impassive-- but the evidence of his outburst remains in the way his pin-prick pupils go between his Pokemon and the person he couldn't really recognise.

He's stepping back as said Pokémon does the work for him, allowing him to physically-and-otherwise gain distance.

Out of nowhere, there appears a set of claws clamping around the Galactic leader's ankle. Huh, maybe the Crustle heard something something about bugs being weak.
