Let me let you go.

more versions + lineart only under the cut

So I had this idea of making a version with metaphor colouring (that's what i call it), between yellow and blue (light and dark), apollo being in a light environment because he's in the world of the living, whilst he himself is blue because he's sorrowful. Vice versa for clay, he's sinking in the afterlife, but he is content at last. He wants apollo to let go of grief so he can allow himself to move on, be happy again, so that clay can be happy too. (hence why in my head the "let me let you go" is in clay's POV, asking apollo to no longer hold onto his sorrow, and hold onto his death, so he can let go too and rest in peace.)

In the pieces above, i kept this little philosophy in the overlay i put, there's both orange and blue, and they alternate in the same way yellow and blue do in the version right below here. Apollo didn't come out as well as clay came out so I decided to keep this one under the cut </3 pretty fun to try out though.

this all started because I wanted a lockscreen I made myself. help.

I'm probably blind as hell and I don't know exactly what makes the Young Master and Zhao Guangyi a big ship, but I think it's funny as hell to imagine someone like him falling for us. We are just that cool and whimsical. We probably appear in dead wife flashbacks to him, except we're still alive.

Honestly I did not even consider it at first and I don't remember their interactions at all in the first Kaifeng story quest, I believe the Chinese server though had things release in a different order so perhaps their quests lined up in a way that made the ship more sense from the start. BUT ALSO I think it's extremely funny and a probable rivals to lovers thing plus secret identity that makes everyone go HELL YEAH

Also I absolutely agree I think it's the best and funniest thing ever that Zhao Guangyi can't help but fall for the young master It's HILARIOUS. DEAD WIFE FLASHBACKS LMAO TAKES ME OUT. when will young master return from the war ...

HOLY SHIT OKAY. SO. Wang Haoxuan (xue yang) played the main love interest role in this transmigration c drama called Stick to the script, where the main character transmigrated into this drama she was watching and found out she could change things by pressing buttons on her remote (this drama came idk how much time after the untamed)

There's like all the episodes on YouTube they're all about five minutes long. ANYWAY, at one point in one of the last episodes she panics and presses a button and Xiao Tianyu's face (whx's character) just fucking SHIFTS, says a Xue Yang quote THAT HE SAID TO XXC, and then catches himself and goes wait.. why does that sound so familiar..? And she's like OH NO XIAO-GE HAS TURNED EVIL. THIS MADE ME INSANE FOR A GOOD WHILE.

Also because she also has a few scenes with a blindfold on and he's on screen during those scenes and I'm having flashbacks they hate me
