This was not on my 2025 bingo card..
I'm not really sure where to begin explaining, aside from using the meme above, because I am still learning how to be vulnerable. ( Making a joke about the situation is an old coping mechanism, which is fine I enjoy the chaos. )
After months of living a new life with my Fiancé, after I moved and divorced from my ex. I found myself in a healthy relationship with someone new ( not a rebound, trust me it was a whole poly situation where she helped me get out of an abusive relationship and is helping me to heal from my trauma. )
I'm in a place where I can actually sit and unpack everything I've been ignoring for years.
I wasn't banking on ever being safe or feeling like I could be a real person. ( My old relationship really messed me up. ) But I am trying to heal.
Anyways, during the hurricane last year, while there was a power outage, I let slip something I've wished to experience and become for years. I wanted to be a Mom. To have a kid.
She was excited and wanted to nurture that wish. Because, she is the absolutely most amazing and kindest person I've ever met.
We didn't jump head first into this. She has kids of her own, and sat me down to explain everything that comes with starting that journey. What could go wrong. What could go right. Everything I'd have to do in order to make this dream a reality…
( She's a Nurse. So, nothing was left out. )
But after days of conversation, and working through some minor trauma. I came to the realization that I wanted this. Even though it terrifies me. I want to be a Mom.
I've de-transitioned. I am not longer taking Testosterone, haven't been for months.
We went to a OBGYN and I am on fertility meds. Things are progressing and I have a donor.
This is terrifying, but I wanted to share this and hopefully someone who's experienced pregnancy can give me some advice. I don't know.
I'm trying to be vulnerable and share a moment ( because I don't speak to my Mother, and my Father isn't with us anymore. I don't really have a lot of family for things like this. )
This is big moment, and I don't have either of my Parents to help me through this.
Thank you for letting me vent.
