Seventh Year was supposed to be best year of Nate Heywood's life. It was his final year at school, he would soon become an Aurora and he would leave the hardship and his life behind.
However, of course not. Nothing ever goes easy in his life and he found his seventh year being followed around by Mick Rory, a Slytherin that got held back (Nate didn't even think that was possible!) And in order for Headmaster Thawne to get the seventh year out of his school and finally away from him would mean Nate helping him anyway that he could.
And it didn't help that he had a crush on the silent but strong Slytherin.
Currently, Nate had tryouts. Hufflepuff needed a new seeker and he really wanted this way beyond anything that he's wanted before.
And Mick needed tutoring.
“I can't help you right now. Maybe in about three hours?” Nate got ready for his tryouts. He stared at himself in the mirror and wondered if his father would be proud that he finally had the chance to be on the quidditch team. Mick sat on his bed, still not sure just how Mick got past their entrance way when the slytherin didn't even know the password.
“You promised the professor that you would teach me some of those spells that I have issues with and that's whenever I need them. And I need them now. I have an exam coming up unless you want me to fail.”
Nate rolled his eyes. “I can't miss tryouts.”
Nate sighed. “I have about an hour before I have to be on the quidditch pitch. Alright what spells are you having trouble with?”
“Accio, Bombarda. Mostly. They're gonna be on the exam.”
Nate shook his head and took a seat on the bed next to Mick. “Accio is basic. We learned that years ago. How are you having trouble with that one?”
“That one has always been hard for me. Can you not judge and just do.”
“Fine. Fine. But we don't have enough time I do need to get there in an hour.”
“Don't worry pretty boy. You'll get to your tryouts soon enough.”
