Imagine Strayten angst where it's based off of the ending scene from Wall-E:
(Takes place before they had kids but after they got married)
Tenna had just recently been attacked by the Roaring Knight. But thankfully, Kris was able to recruit all of his employees, and they were all able to fix him.
Tears ran down Stray's face as she watched the shadows and dice all work together to put Tenna back to normal. Wiring his arms back on, stitching his suit, you name it. But after all that hard work, Tenna just sat there. Unmoving. No light in his screen.
All the workers surrounded the couple as Stray walked up to Tenna.
"......Tenna?......" Stray asked after kneeling down onto the snow.
More tears began to leak out of Stray's eyes as she placed both of her hands on the sides of Tenna's TV head. He was cold, unlike how he normally was. Loud, active, warm.
"Tenna!!!......TENNA!!!" Stray shouted, gripping the front of her husband's nice red suit and shaking him. But it was no use.
"....please........please wake up........"
Slowly letting go, Stray gently ran her fingers down one of Tenna's arms and held his hand, both hands having a shiny wedding band adorned on them.
Stray leans her head closer, gently yet quietly humming the tune to TV Time. She doesn't know if Tenna will ever wake up. She doesn't know if he's alive.
No one know if he survived.
Gently tilting Tenna's head up with her other hand, Stray presses her lips against Tenna's screen where his mouth would be. A quick, yet small kiss. Pulling back, tears continue to run down Stray's face.
"I'm.........I'm sorry I wasn't a good wife to you......" Stray mutters under her breath.
Her and the small group of darkners all begin to get their bearings. Some pippins wipe their tears, some shadows let out a sad note. And Stray begins to stand up.
Right before reaching her full hight, she feels something. A hand pulling against her own, then another gloved hand gently holding her waist.
Looking down in shock, Stray sees Tenna. His screen all lit up, and his nose all cute and pointy like normal.
"Oh sweetheart" Tenna smiles, kissing the back of Stray's hand, "You're an amazing wife. Always have been and always will be. My wonderful, beautiful wife"
