Do you ever think about the first time Emma hugged Henry?
When she gave birth to him, she refused to hold him and see him too afraid that she would not be able to give him away. She never held her baby and probably spent all those years wondering about him. So in 1x02, when Henry jumps in her arms, it is the very first time she holds her baby, and you can see on her face that she knows she won't ever be able to let go of this little one. She is finally holding the baby she gave away and it makes me super-mega-emotional.
well i was gonna thank @darkswaan for what seemed like a heartfelt apology.
and i was gonna say that messages like that, ones that clearly indicate that--no matter what differences we may have--blanket attacks on all SWEN are out of line, would go a long way toward depriving the Westboro Oncer Church of the sense that the fandom supports their terrorism (answering ashermajestywishes’s nonnie’s query about what else can be done than just telling them to stop).
and i was gonna agree with helebette that reiterating the injury in the apology was probably not the best tactic . . .
but apparently @darkswaan, with whom i’ve never interacted so far as i know, has me blocked. so, you know, if they’re using some kind of “people with negative opinions are BAs” blocklist, take their apology with a grain of salt
